We are looking forward to the 4th National Research Conference on Child and Family Programs and Policy which will be held July 19-21, 2011 at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. Our conferences have grown each year and we anticipate another successful conference in 2011. This year, we are lucky to have Drs. Murray Straus and Paul Amato as keynote speakers. We are hosting two pre-conference workshops, and we are launching our first student competition.
The National Research Conference on Child and Family Programs and Policy is among the first conference to focus exclusively on programmatic and policy "solutions," prevention, and interventions as a way to enhance children and family well-being. This research conference will appeal to researchers from academia, government, and private research firms. This conference also recognizes the importance of multidisciplinary work in order to address the complex needs of children and their families. Thus, we welcome participants from many different disciplines, including, but not limited to, family studies, psychology, sociology, social work, child/human development, political science, economics, public health, education, criminal justice, and social/public policy. We also eagerly encourage practitioners and decision/policy-makers to to join us in our presentations and discussions concerning families, research/evidence, and programs/policy.
We look forward to seeing you at our conference!
