The Call for Abstracts is Now Closed!

We invite research abstracts for both papers and posters that focus on child and family programs, interventions, preventions, rules/regulations, and policies. Research that has strong implications for child and family programs and policies are also invited. Conference topics are open, but may include: 

 

  • Adoption
  • Aging families
  • Child care
  • Child maltreatment
  • Child welfare system
  • Divorced families
  • Early Intervention/Head Start
  • Education programs/policy
  • Family care giving, including “sandwich generation”
  • Family composition (blended/step, never-married, same-sex, adopted)
  • Family income supports
  • Family policy and policy-making
  • Family violence / partner violence
  • Home visiting
  • Intergenerational family issues
  • Marriage and marriage policy
  • Military families
  • Parenting education
  • Prevention programs
  • School – family connection
  • Work-family life/balance
  • Working with policy-makers

 

 


    Guidelines for Abstract Preparation:

    • Abstracts should be no more than 275 words
    • The research questions / purpose of study should be clearly stated
    • The methodology should be clearly presented
    • Abstracts should include preliminary results
    • The implications for child and family policy or programming should be clearly stated
